The Shelton Parks and Recreation Department will begin its 2014 summer playground season for Shelton residents from 6 to 14 years of age. The outdoor program will run for six weeks from Monday, June 30, through Friday, Aug. 8. The playgrounds will be open Mondays from 10 a.m.\u20133 p.m., and Tuesdays through Fridays from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Six locations around the city The six playground locations are Booth Hill School, Elizabeth Shelton School, Long Hill School, Mohegan School, Sunnyside School, and Pine Rock Park off Long Hill Avenue. Each playground is supervised by college students from Shelton. Children spending the entire day should bring their lunches. Registration is at each playground. Playgrounds will be closed on rainy days and July 4.
