The Watermark at 3030 Park will host a free lecture on joint replacement surgery presented by Dr. Mark Wilchinsky at the retirement community, 3030 Park Ave., Bridgeport, on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at noon. Wilchinsky will discuss the latest advancements in joint replacement surgery. Joint replacement has become an increasingly popular choice for people suffering from health issues such as broken hips or rheumatoid arthritis. Experts estimate the number of joint replacement surgeries will increase exponentially over the coming years, with 3.48 million surgeries expected by 2030. "As we age, joint replacement surgery is a highly effective option to relieve pain associated with joint problems," said Chris Romick, executive director of The Watermark. "We are pleased to be able to provide this lecture for our residents and guests in an effort to keep them informed about their joint replacement options." Wilchinsky is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with 29 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans and currently practices out of his office in Shelton. For more information or to RSVP, call The Watermark at 203-374-5611.
