A cloudy sky didn\u2019t stop a large crowd from attending Shelton\u2019s festival\/fireworks display Thursday night along the city\u2019s Riverwalk. Fireworks tradition attracts diverse audience People of all ages came from Shelton and surrounding towns to take part in the fourth of July weekend celebration. Theresa Syc of Shelton said she has been coming to the event for the past six years. This year she came along with Kathy McAuliffe and her son Jackson. In attendance, there was also the Huntington fire department who helped with directing traffic, Shelton\u2019s Community Lions Club, and a couple of the city\u2019s aldermen. Entertainment The festival also featured face painting for kids to enjoy, foods ranging fried dough to\u00a0lobster rolls, and a musical performance by The Navels.
