Texans are in luck. Residents living in any of the state's major cities are residing in some of the best big cities in America.

This year, Texas' four biggest cities landed on the annual list of "America's best large cities," a ranking by municipal research site Best Cities.

To put together the rankings, experts considered factors like job prospects, diversity, environmental quality and infrastructure.

Check out the rankings above.

In a separate  list, small to medium-sized cities were ranked, as well. The Texas cities that landed on that particular list were as followed:

  • El Paso - 5
  • Corpus Christi - 27
  • McAllen - 34
  • Laredo - 41
  • Lubbock - 45
  • Amarillo - 50
