Man charged with stalking waitress at Shelton restaurant
A 57-year-old man has been arrested by Shelton police for allegedly stalking a teenage waitress at a Shelton restaurant.
Kim Lariccia of Milford was charged May 4 with third-degree stalking and interfering with an officer. He was arrested on a warrant based on incidents in March.
Lariccia was released after posting a $15,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Derby on May 18.
The arrest involves a March 21 complaint alleging that Lariccia entered a River Road restaurant and “obsessively watched” an 18-year-old waitress for approximately four hours, according to police.
At one point, Lariccia passed a note to the female asking if she wanted to go for a ride and later followed her on River Road after she completed her shift, police said.
The victim, alarmed because Lariccia allegedly continued to follow her, called and met her boyfriend at a local parking lot.
Returned the next day
On the following day, police said, Lariccia returned to the River Road restaurant and again continually watched the female.
Lariccia eventually left the restaurant on that day, but the female was able to obtain Lariccia’s license plate and forward it to police.
In the course of their investigation, Shelton detectives discovered that Lariccia is a youth hockey coach, police said.
