Man is charged in armed robbery at Shelton hotel
A Bridgeport man has been arrested by the Shelton police for his alleged involvement in an armed robbery on June 26 at a Shelton hotel.
Lancelot Supersad Jr., 19, of Bridgeport was arrested July 21 on a warrant and charged him with first-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny.
On June 26 at about 8:15 p.m., Shelton police were dispatched to the Residence Inn at 1001 Bridgeport Ave. for a robbery.
Two hotel employees told officers that two males entered the hotel and displayed a firearm and demanded money.
The males then left the hotel and got into a vehicle with a driver waiting for them, police said. No injuries were reported during the incident.
More arrests are expected in this case, according to the Shelton Police Department.
Supersad Jr. is being held on a $75,000 bond and is expected to appear in state Superior Court in Derby on July 22.
