PHOTOS: Shelton firefighters called after car crashes into water

An emergency call came in just after 7 this morning about a car crashing down an embankment into a body of water in the White Hills section of Shelton.

According to Shelton Fire Chief Fran Jones, the accident was on Walnut Tree Hill Road by Sawmill City Road on Wednesday, Jan. 28.

The car slid around the corner because the road was icy, going down the hill and into the brook.

The driver was able to get out of the vehicle without any injury.

White Hills firefighters assisted a local towing company to get the vehicle out of the water.
