A 28-year-old Stratford man was arrested Thursday on allegations he sexually assaulted a 15 year-old.

Michael Capogrosso was arrested on Sept. 4, and charged by the Shelton Police Department with second-degree sexual assault.

The arrest stems from a complaint filed in 2008, when a 15-year-old  told police that she met Capogrosso one night in Shelton and that he allegedly brought her to his apartment.

According to the victim, Capogrosso then engaged in non-consensual sex with her.

Bond was $25,000.

Capogrosso was arrested with assistance from the U.S. marshals.
