Shelton Police Log: Threatening, risk of injury, larceny

Shelton police made the following arrests:

Threatening


Rebecca Mitchell, 61, 39 Sorghum Road, Shelton, was charged with second-degree threatening and second-degree harassment on Oct. 11. Bond was $500.

Risk of injury


Candice Elaine Rogers, 22, of 12 Beard Street, Shelton, was charged with risk of injury to a minor on Oct. 11. Bond was $500.

Larceny


Nicholas Carriero, 23, of 4328 Madison Avenue, Trumbull was charged with sixth-degree larceny on Oct. 10. Bond was $500.

Janei Deanna Hemmings, 28, of 94 Magnolia Street, Hartford, was charged with fourth-degree larceny and two counts of second-degree larceny on Oct. 9. Bond was $2,500.

Disorderly


Michael Ward, 47, of 30 Williamsburg Drive, Monroe, was charged with disorderly conduct on Oct. 9. Bond was $500.

Forgery


David Joel Balek, 38, of 6 Lampson Street, Waterbury, was charged with three counts of using fraud or deceit to obtain a controlled substance, three counts of second-degree forgery and three counts of illegal possession on Oct. 8. He is accused of trying to obtain prescriptions illegally. Bond was $50,000.

DUI


James Smethhurst, 36, of 82 Bassick Road, Trumbull, was charged with failure to keep drug in its original container, operating a vehicle while registration is refused/suspended/revoked, driving under the influence, and illegal possession on Oct. 7. Bond was $1,500.
