Multiple Shelton fire crews responded to a car accident on Route 8 late this morning, Nov. 26, with light snow and sleet falling in the area at the time.
At about 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, personnel from the Echo Hose Company No. 1 and Huntington Company No. 3 were dispatched to a car accident on Route 8 southbound, between exits 13 and 12.
Squad 1 arrived to find a two-vehicle car accident with no entrapment, as well as a third vehicle a little farther down the highway that was smoking, according to an Echo Hose posting.
Engine 2 investigated the third vehicle and determined it was overheating.

While on scene, Squad 1 was assigned with Shelton Fire Companies No. 3 (Huntington) and No. 5 (White Hills) to a car accident at Soundview Avenue and Molnar Drive, with stabilization needed.
Squad 1 arrived and assisted with crews already on scene.
