Shelton man charged with sexual assault

Shelton police arrested Michael Spease, 46, of Huntington Avenue and charged him with first-degree sexual assault, two counts of second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.

According to police, Spease was arrested on a warrant on May 15, stemming from a case they opened in September 2012.

The alleged incidents happened between 2008 and 2010. The alleged victim, police said, did know Spease. He was released on a $100,000 bond. Court is set for May 29.
