Shelton man dies hang gliding in the Catskills
A 44-year-old Shelton man has died following a hang gliding accident.
New York State Police is reporting that Scott Trueblood, was hang gliding near the State Route 52 overlook in Wawarsing when he struck the mountainside on Sunday, May 17.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Trueblood was a newly-license pilot with the Ellenville Flight School, police said.
The cause of this accident is under investigation by the New York State Police.
