People can sign up now to receive messages from the city’s new CodeRED communication system.

They can preferably do so online via the Shelton Police Department website (go to sheltonpolice.net, then click on the CodeRED logo), or also by stopping by the police station to fill out a form.

Once signed up, people will receive notifications of emergency situations or critical community alerts by phone (including cell numbers) or email. This could include snowstorm and other major weather incident details, evacuation notices, planned road closures, bio-terrorism alerts and missing child reports.
