A third individual has been arrested for a December armed robbery of a downtown Shelton liquor store.
On March 11, Valentine Rodriguez, 33, of Bridgeport was processed on an arrest warrant in state Superior Court in Derby.
Valentine Rodriguez was charged with first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, criminal possession of a firearm, third-degree larceny, and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny. His court-set bond was $75,000.
Two other individuals have been arrested in the case, and the Shelton Police Department said March 11 that another arrest is expected in the criminal incident.
Valentine Rodriguez previously was arrested for attempting to rob the Shelton Cumberland Farms on River Road (Route 110) on Christmas Eve in 2014. During that crime, Rodriguez allegedly displayed a handgun.
The Cleto’s robbery

Police said two males entered the store, with one man displaying a gun and the other male displaying a knife. The males allegedly grabbed money and bottles of liquor and then left the store.
Previously arrested in the Cleto’s Liquor Store robbery case was Jonathan Rodriguez, 30, of Bridgeport.
A Feb. 20 warrant charged Jonathan Rodriguez with first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, third-degree larceny, and conspiracy to commit-third-degree larceny. His bond was $75,000.

The Cumberland Farms robbery
On Dec. 24, 2014, a male wearing a black hoodie and displaying a gun entered Cumberland Farms on Route 110 and demanded money, according to police reports.
A Shelton police officer on patrol was flagged down by customers near the store, and a foot chase ensued between the officer and suspect in the nearby woods. The officer heard a gunshot while in the woods.
Numerous police eventually responded to the scene and the suspect — later identified as Valentine Rodriguez — was apprehended in the woods and taken into custody, police said.
A stolen gun that was believed to be the one used in the attempted robbery was found in the woods, police said.
In the Cumberland Farms case, Valentine Rodriguez was charged with first-degree robbery, theft of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, unlawful discharge of a firearm, interfering with an officer, and sixth-degree larceny. His bond was $250,000.
