Two men arrested in Shelton after allegedly shooting a slingshot at car
Two men were arrested by Shelton police on May 19 after allegedly shooting at a passing car's window with a slingshot from their vehicle.
Officers received a complaint from a motorist that on Laurel Heights Road, a vehicle passed their car and something broke their car window.
Police said officers later found the suspect vehicle in Derby.
Officers found an airsoft rifle and a slingshot in the vehicle, according to reports. Airsoft guns fire plastic or environmentally-safe pellets.
Milford and Stratford men charged
The passenger, James Laird, 21, of Meadow Park Drive, Milford, was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree criminal mischief, hunting or discharge of a firearm from a public highway, and carrying and sale of a dangerous weapon. Bond was $7,500.
The driver, John C. Kramer, 24, of Cedar Knoll Drive, Stratford, was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, hunting or discharge of a firearm from a public highway, third-degree criminal mischief, carrying and sale of a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy. Bond was $5,000.
