Huntington Fire Company No. 3 members celebrated 65 years of service by Jack Kraemer at a recent captains\u2019 dinner. \u201cHis spirit and dedication to serving the community are an inspiration to all the firefighters at the station, where he has served as company captain and fire commissioner,\u201d fire officials said. Kraemer also served in the U.S. Army in World War II, earning a Purple Heart as he drove a tank during the Battle of the Bulge under General Patton\u2019s command. Although no longer active in routine operations at the Huntington Fire Company, one can find Kraemer in the officer\u2019s seat on the fire engine during Memorial Day parades.
