Shelton High Class of ’74 plans get-together to mark 40 years
The Shelton High School Class of 1974 will have a 40th reunion Friday, Nov. 28 from 7-10 p.m. at Verace Pizzeria, Tavern & Italian Eatery, 100 Center St., Shelton.
The reunion is being organized by class member James Orazietti as a casual event, with no advance ticket purchase necessary. However, he is hoping people will contact him if they plan to come so there is an approximate idea of how many people might show up.
At Verace, dinner and pizza will be available for purchase and there will be a cash bar.
Orazietti is trying to arrange a possible tour of Perry Hill School, which was Shelton High School when the class graduated, to coincide with the reunion. The school building recently was completely renovated and now serves fifth- and sixth-grade students on a citywide basis.
The new Shelton High School on Meadow Street opened in the fall of 1974, so the SHS Class of 1974 was the last one to spend all four years at the Perry Hill Road location.
Orazietti lives in Shelton and has served on many municipal boards and commissions through the years. He was president of the SHS Class of ’74.
He is looking for contact information on class members as well as the names of any deceased SHS ’74 members.
Orazietti can be contacted by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
