BIC awards scholarships annually to children of its employees, and are based on the students’ scholastic achievements. This year, BIC awarded a total of $120,000 in scholarships to 88 winners, including these two Shelton residents: Miriam A. Lautenschlager, who is attending Saint Anselm College, and Teresa J. Lautenschlager, who is attending Saint Michael’s College. Both are the children of William and Marlene Lautenschlager, and earned a $2,000 scholarship.
