Student-athlete scholarships available to Shelton students
The Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center (OSM) of Trumbull is accepting applications for one $2,000 scholarship and several $1,000 scholarships. The scholarship is open to local high school athletes planning to attend college in the fall of 2014, including students from Shelton High School.
OSM is looking for outstanding high school seniors who excel in three areas: student athletic achievements, academic accomplishments and community service. The scholarship is open to high schools where OSM serves as team physicians: Trumbull High School, St. Joseph High School, Masuk High School, Harding High School, Central High School, Shelton High School, Notre Dame High School and Bassick High School.
“We take great pride in our student-athletes, as they move toward their goals,” said OSM Orthopaedic Surgeon Michael Redler. “OSM is proud to see these students throughout their high school careers as they achieve excellence in athletics, in the community and academically. It is with great pleasure that we serve as team physicians, as this keeps us closely connected to the community we serve.”

Interested students must fill out the application, which is available from their high school guidance counselor or athletic director. The application may also be downloaded from OSM’s website at osmcenter.com.
