Shelton High is 'going pink' for October

For Shelton High School students and staff who buy bracelets and pink shirts  or just donate money for a cause, they may have a chance to see Headmaster Beth Smith get a new look.

She agreed to dye her hair pink.

Every one of the sports teams at SHS does a special “pink” event to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month throughout October.

“This Friday happens to be our Friday pink game,” said Smith, and if the school body would be able to raise $1,500 by then, she agreed to get her hair dyed.

The money raised will go to Griffin Hospital and the Valley Goes Pink campaign. “It’s all in good fun and it’s for a great cause,” Smith said.
