Shelton High students to learn about distracted driving

A distracted driving program is coming to Shelton High School next week. The Save a Life Tour program by Kramer International will be offered to SHS students on Monday, May 11.

The state Department of Transportation (DOT) funds the program at high schools as part of an effort to prevent roadway fatalities and injuries related to distracted driving. It is geared specifically for teens.

Two multi-million dollar texting and driving simulators will allow students to experience the dangerous consequences of distracted driving in a safe setting.

The event also features the AT&T documentary, From One Second to the Next, which highlights real stories of those who have had to face the devastating consequences caused by distracted driving.
