Student from Shelton serves as intern at PepsiCo

Edward Hunt, a junior business administration and psychology major at Ashland University, served as an intern this summer for PepsiCo in Stratford.

Alongside Lisa Gentile, his supervisor and the operations manager, Hunt assisted and completed a variety of projects. Hunt was given a geographic area, which consisted of Easton, Fairfield, Redding, Stratford, Weston and Westport.

In this area, he was responsible for about 80 different restaurants, gas stations and convenient stores and his objective was to increase sales for Pepsi at every location.

Learned about customers

Hunt said he learned about his strengths and the opportunities for growth in dealing with customers and other interns, as well as learning skills from his supervisor.

Hunt, the son of Edward and Faith Hunt of Shelton, is a 2012 graduate of Shelton High School.

Hunt is involved on the Ashland University campus, serving as president of the club lacrosse program. He is a resident assistant and a tour guide. Hunt also is an active member of the executive board for the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, Ashland’s Campus Activity Board and the Ashbrook Scholar Program.
