The Shelton Democratic Town Committee is proud to announce that 314 Action has endorsed Kevin Kosty for Second Ward Alderman, and David Gioiello for Board of Education. 314 Action is a nonprofit 501(c)4 founded by members of the STEM community, grassroots supporters and political activists, and is committed to electing more STEM candidates to office to advocate for evidence-based policy solutions.
Kevin Kosty graduated from Nazareth College of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. He has worked as a laboratory scientist in environmental, metals, and materials laboratories, and is currently employed at PerkinElmer as a Senior Technical Support Specialist. “As a scientist and first-time candidate, I’m proud to have the support of an organization dedicated to helping candidates who are committed to STEM innovation and environmental quality,” Kosty said. “The knowledge and skill sets that STEM trained professionals can bring to government will help us make smart decisions in our community on issues like development, taxes, education and protecting the environment. I will bring that balanced approach and reason to Shelton as Alderman.”
