Margaret Csontos Dlugos
Margaret Csontos Dlugos, age 74, beloved wife of Daniel Dlugos, of Huntington, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2012 in Bridgeport Hospital.
In addition to Daniel, her devoted husband of 53 years, Margaret’s life will be lovingly remembered by her children, Marguerite DeFrancesco, and her husband, Robert, of Oxford, Daniel Dlugos, and his wife, Carla, of Liberty Township, OH; her cherished grandchildren, Alexandra and JohnPaul DeFrancesco, Danielle and Matthew Dlugos; her brother, William Csontos, and his wife, Betty, of Black Rock; her sister-in-law, Florence Dlugos, of Milford; her aunt, Marie Lesko Grega, of Fairfield; nieces and nephews, Robert, Debra, and Ronald Dlugos, William Csontos, Maribeth Devine, Kimberly Pierwola; her godson, Mark Straubel; several cousins; and her grand dog, Kota.
Born and raised in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Grega Csontos, Sr.
Margaret was a graduate of St.Ann School in 1952, Academy of Our Lady of Mercy- Lauralton Hall in 1956, and Annhurst College in 1958.
A resident of Huntington for 50 years, she served as a substitute elementary school teacher for the Town of Shelton. Prior to her teaching, Margaret worked for the Technical Publication Department of Sikorsky Aircraft.
Marge truly strived to stay involved with her family and friends. Spending time with her family at their Deering Lake vacation home, in New Hampshire, attending Sergio Franchi concerts with her husband, or planning birthday parties for her girlfriends at Hair After Salon were all simple pleasures to Marge. She enjoyed reading novels while visiting one of many New England Bed & Breakfast, or cruising the world’s many oceans and rivers.
Marge was talented at crafting, and liked to attend furniture auctions. A woman of strong faith, Margaret was a longtime parishioner of St. Lawrence Church, where she served as an Eucharist Minister, and was a member of the Women Guild.
Marge possessed a warm, welcoming, and generous personality that so positively touched those she came to know. She could light up a room with her smile, and always enjoyed a good laugh. Her memory will be fondly embraced by her loving family and dearest friends.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-8 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 1 PM directly in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Avenue, in Huntington. Her interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery.
