Grayce (Bozza) Poisson, age 86, of Monroe, beloved wife of the late Leo M. Poisson Sr., died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Conway, PA on January 22, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Antoinette (Vicario) Bozza.

A former longtime resident of Bridgeport and Trumbull, Grayce was an active participant of the Holy Rosary Parish, the Italian Community Center (ICC) and many local democratic causes.

She was always the “Life of the Party” and “Belle of the Ball” with her signature hats and outgoing demeanor. For many years, Grayce organized and ran senior bus trips to the local casinos where she could be found listening for the jingle of the slot machines.

She was happiest when her grandchildren and then great grandchildren were with her, watching them smile with her loving attention and serving up homemade pastas, great meatballs and perfect gravy that only their Noni could make. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Grayce was the loving mother of Leo (Lee) Michael Poisson Jr. and his wife Joanne (Lota) Poisson of Shelton and Lynne McPadden and her husband John T. McPadden Sr. of Monroe. She is also survived by her sisters, Eleanor Kozakewicz of Bridgeport, Marion Greenberger of Stratford and Margie Costanzo of Arizona.  Noni leaves four grandchildren, Todd McPadden and his wife Leslie, Lisa Satterly and her husband Jerad, Lee Poisson and his wife Jody and Denise Sgandurra and her husband James, seven great grandchildren, Haley, Alexa, Madison, Amanda, Jessie and twins, Lukas and Aidan as well as numerous adored nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by her dear brother, John and sister, Rosalyn.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Ursula, Joyce and Christine and the Surgical ICU and doctors at Bridgeport Hospital for the love and support they gave to Grayce.
