Leonard C. Mohyde, age 93, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of the Lord on January 22, 2015, reuniting his spirit with his beloved wife Helen.

He was a devoted Catholic to his death and embraced his faith. Len was a proud military veteran of the U.S. Army, a retired John Hancock agent for 25 years and a funeral director and employee with the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home for over 60 years.

Born in Bridgeport on November 3, 1921, he was the son of the late John and Mary Elena Mohyde.

Len is survived by two devoted daughters, Helen “Bunnie" McQuilton and her husband, Kenneth, and Barbara DePietro and her husband, Paul, all of Stratford; 5 grandchildren ; 10 great-grandchildren; four brothers Charles Mohyde of Shelton, Gerard (Margaret) Mohyde and Thomas Mohyde both of Stratford, Finton Mohyde of Stoneham, MA; three sisters Charlotte DiCamillo and Zita Carrano both of Stratford, and Jackelene “Jay” (James) Beausoleil of Shelton and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife he was predeceased by his brother Jack Mohyde and his sister Mary Lynch.

Friends are invited to go directly to St Mark’s Church 500 Wigwam Lane Stratford on Monday at 10:00 a.m. for a mass of Christian burial. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT.
