Mildred Chagin, age 93, of Seymour entered peaceful rest March 5, 2015 in Derby; she was the beloved wife of the late John Chagin.
Mrs. Chagin was born May 25, 1921 in Ansonia, daughter of the late Maxim and Mary (Kruk) Huzi.
She was retired from Uniroyal, Naugatuck. Mildred was a Communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd; she enjoyed Bingo, baking, and crocheting; Mildred especially loved going to lunch.
Mrs. Chagin leaves her loving family including, a son, John Chagin (Deborah) of Philadelphia, PA, her daughter with whom she resided, Patricia Gargano (Jospeh,Sr.) of Seymour, her sisters, Dorothy Dolka (John) of Shelton, and Stella Dripchak (John) of Ansonia, her grandchildren, Joseph, Jr. (Cheryl), Michael (Kim), MaryAnn (Dino), Susan, Karen, and Christina, her great-grandchildren, Krista, Tyler, James, Daniel, and Melissa, and several nieces and nephews.
Her brothers, Michael, John, and Steve, and sisters, Anna Sawczuk and Sophie Lucuk predeceased her.
Calling Hours are Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour. Funeral Services will be Monday at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd., Seymour where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery in the Springtime. Memorial Gifts may be sent to the Church of the Good Shepherd.
