To the Editor:

Another day, another rise in gas prices. Welcome to American Dystopia. When is this going to end? Our “leaders” are so intent on changing our country, it doesn’t bother them that we are struggling to make ends meet in this “1984” world. Of course, most of them have been living on expense accounts paid for by “we the people,” so what difference does it make to them how much everyday items cost? And the vibes I am getting are, it’s going to get worse.

Of course, the individual in the tarnished White House not only doesn’t care, he doesn’t really know what’s going on around him. He has been on the government dole for his whole “working” career, sponging off those who pay his salary and benefits who receive nothing in return.

Who is paying for this dramatic faux Jan. 6 “investigation?” And hiring a Hollywood producer is beyond the pale. All this money wasted could be going to a good cause, like supplying much needed baby formula.

Stop the encouraged marches across the southern border. Our suicides and drug dependencies have multiplied exponentially in the last two years due to trafficking of drugs and young children — where perpetrators feel free to do whatever they want, as there are no punishments meted out for their lawlessness.

We, as proud Americans, are better than this. We are peace-loving, generous, responsible human beings, but we are being drained of everything that is held important and life-sustaining to us. The Green New Deal is a joke. It costs more to appropriate the commodities to manufacture what is needed to put in place this pipedream. Other countries now consider us a laughing stock, especially as energy to go to “climate” meetings used by our “leaders” private planes is “overkill.”

There are still responsible people with values who do have the clout to restore what we have lost. Your votes in the midterm elections are imperative to saving our great country.
