To the Editor:

During this holiday season I would like to thank Mayor Mark Lauretti and all of his team for his 30 years of leadership in making Shelton one of the best run and most affordable cities in Connecticut to live in and bring up my family.

My wife and I have lived in Shelton for 57 years. Mayor Lauretti has kept our City affordable, especially in our retirement years, by keeping our taxes low while keeping our services and systems in check.

Prior to his election 30 years ago Shelton was just another town with substandard leadership. Mayor Lauretti's vision was a promise to make Shelton into the City that has had planned and ordered growth and development. Thank you for keeping your promise. Shelton has become the envy of other towns and cities.

Once, again, we say Thank You Mayor Lauretti for your vision 30 years ago to make Shelton that shining City on the Hill.
