To the Editor:

With Election Day just around the corner, I am both nervous and excited, as I imagine you are. Many in Shelton are hoping to see positive change in our community. Many new candidates are running with the bipartisan Envision Shelton slate, one of whom is Matt McGee.

I have worked alongside Matt for the past couple years, not only helping with his two campaigns for Alderman, but also in other community groups such as Shelton Students for Change and the Shelton Cleanup Project. From first hand experience, I can say that Matt has worked tirelessly to ensure everyone has a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable place to live.

He has dedicated himself to public service and has participated in many community service projects. Time and time again, he has shown us that he has our best interests at heart. In the past year alone, he helped Shelton Students for Change pass a new Student Representative Policy, and worked with Envision Shelton to stop last year´s bad Charter Revision from passing.

For someone his age, he has rather extensive political and community experience that qualifies him to be an Alderman for our city.

I strongly believe he has what it takes to win this November and serve us well as our next Alderman. He is authentic, enthusiastic, and determined to make a positive change within our community. He has worked closely with members of the community to gain an understanding of what their needs are and he is not afraid to challenge those who do not have our best interests at heart. When he wins in November, I know he will use his past political and community experience to help people and serve us well on our BOA.

I encourage you to vote for Matt McGee and the entire Envision Shelton slate this
