Summer coming to a close, but it’s not a bad thing
With Labor Day behind us, as sad as it may be for some, summer is coming to a close. Though the change in seasons welcomes the expected drop in temperature, it isn’t all bad. The leaves have begun to change colors and decorate the ground, plus the NFL season is officially here. These are all signs that fall is upon us.
Now we may not be able to get away with wearing T-shirts as much, be able to enjoy weekend trips to the beach to work on our tans, or days at the water, but the fall is still a beautiful season.
Children jumping in piles of crunchy leaves that their parents just raked, pumpkin-flavored everything, and drinking hot chocolate around bonfires are what immediately come to mind when I think of the fall.
There’s also the pick-up football games that take place among friends, the chance to bring out some of your favorite sweaters that were stowed away in your closet, and let’s not forget apple or pumpkin picking.
These are just a few reasons why the change in seasons isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but there are literally countless others. The fact of the matter is, regardless of whether we are ready for the change or not, it’s here. Why not find as many reasons or ways to enjoy the season as possible?
