Letter: 'Fine gentleman who are dedicated to the community'

As a State Representative serving much of Shelton, I have the opportunity to work with many talented individuals in local government. I have had the fortune to work with Anthony Simonetti and David Gidwani on many government issues and charitable causes. They are both fine gentlemen who are dedicated to their community. I endorse them both for Alderman and I urge that you give them your vote on Tuesday.

Anthony has spent most of his life in Shelton involved in local youth sports, non-profit work, and local government. Those who know him recognize that he is focused on making the right decisions for the right reasons.

David is new to politics (which isn’t a bad thing at all) and has spent much of his time here in Shelton working for charitable causes and supporting our community. His children are students in the Shelton school system and he has a keen understanding of our town and what it needs to prosper.

I urge you to support these two dedicated public servants with your vote. More importantly, though, please take the time to get to the polls. It is easy to take local government for granted but what happens at City Hall often has the greatest impact on our daily lives. Your vote counts. So, take advantage of the opportunity created for us by great patriots over 200 years ago and preserved for us every day since by the courageous men and women of America’s armed forces.
