Ann Wajdowicz, 90, of Shelton, formerly of Derby
Ann Wajdowicz, 90, of Shelton, formerly of Derby, wife of the late Roman Wajdowicz, died Oct. 9, at Bishop Wicke Health Center, with her family by her side.
Daughter of the late Stanley and Stella Biernacki, she was born June 22, 1923, in Union City.
She loved to travel with her husband, and enjoyed playing poker with her friends for over 50 years. Most of all, she was a loving caregiver for her family.
She is the beloved mother of James Wajdowicz and his wife Faith, loving grandmother of Dana Nickleach, Jamie Norcott, Matthew Wajdowicz, and Erica Laton, great grandmother of Elli Nickleach and Eva Laton. Mrs. Wajdowicz is also survived by her devoted and loving niece Nancy Halwick and several other nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers, Joseph, Leonard, Edward, and Raymond Biernacki , and sisters, Helen Biernacki, Alice Stepnowski, and Henrietta Butwell. On Wednesday, friends are invited to go directly to St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Ave., Derby for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Her burial will be held at 12:00 pm in St. James Cemetery, Cross St., Naugatuck.
