Michael E. Pinto Jr., age 65, of Shelton, died Saturday, November 3, 2012 at St. Vincent\u2019s Medical Center in Bridgeport. Born in Bridgeport on January 9, 1947 he was the son of Jacqueline Marie Brunau Pinto and the late Michael E. Pinto Sr. Mike was a lifelong area resident and retired Shop teacher at Trumbull High School. Mike loved all things mechanical and was the owner of Mike Pinto\u2019s Automotive Machine Shop in Bridgeport until 1986. Mike was a former merchant mariner, an avid boatman, and was ship\u2019s captain on several vessels working Long Island Sound. He is survived by his children, Michael J. Pinto III, Kathryn Pinto, Jennifer Pinto and Timothy Pinto, sisters and brothers, Mary Furlong, Joseph C. Pinto, Patricia E. Pinto, and James M. Pinto, and granddaughter, Natalie Grace Byrne Pinto. He was predeceased by his father and his sister Carole Ann Pinto. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the Unitarian Society of New Haven 1:00 pm. on Monday, November 26, 2012, 700 Hartford Turnpike, Hamden, CT. Interment will be private.
