Frank J. Karako, 97, of Shelton, owned and operated Karako\u2019s Package Store of Shelton, supervisor for the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation Tolls Division, died Oct. 5, at Griffin Hospital, Derby. Born July 30, 1918, in Shelton; worked for Chance Vought during World War II. Predeceased by wife, Frances Preneta Karako, parents, Geza and Lillian Hecko Karako. Survived by two daughters, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, Shelton.
