Irene Eleanor Minotti, 89, of Monroe passed away peacefully at West River Health Center on August 23rd. She was the daughter of the late Stephen and Theresa (Novotnik) Papp, Hungarian immigrants, and was born in Bridgeport on May 14, 1925. She is predeceased by her husband, Michael T. Minotti, Jr. Irene graduated from Bassick High School and worked for many years as a beautician before starting a family. She was an avid gardener who also loved to read and crochet. Her boundless joy in life, loving her family, prayerful nature, and great sense of humor will be sorely missed as well as her deep kindness. She is survived by her 5 children: Marlene Fleisch and her husband, Doug, of Monroe; Michael Minotti and his wife, Barbara, of Shelton; Debbie McGuire and her husband, Kevin, of Tennessee; Cathy Seholm and her husband, Bob, of Mahopac; Irene Cohen and her fianc\u00e9, Rick, of Shelton. She is the loving grandmother of 11: Alanna and Ian; Stacey and Michael; Michelle, Stephanie and Kelly; Elizabeth, Robert and Jessica; and Jennifer. She is the proud great-grandmother to Harper, Seth, Autumn, Ciara, Emiliano, and Brooke.
