John W. Curtiss, 95, of Shelton, husband of the late Elizabeth \u201cBetty\u201d Curtiss, died March 20, at San Dimas Community Hospital in San Dimas, California. \u00a0 Born in Shelton on April 18, 1921 son of the late Clarence C. Curtiss, Sr. and Rose Boutieller Curtiss; U.S. Navy veteran, World War II. He and his brother Cleve Curtiss were in business together starting a car repair business, then becoming Lincoln Mercury dealers on Bridgeport Avenue. Survived by companion and friend, Virginia Johnson of California, granddaughters, Suzanne Curtiss of Arizona and Linda Rabbit and her husband, Timothy of Florida, nieces, Dorothy Curtiss and Marie Zenisky, five great-grandchildren and three great-great children. Also predeceased by two sons, Jack and Allan Curtiss, and his brother, Cleve Curtiss. Services: Wednesday, March 29, 1 p.m., James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton.
