Joseph R. Kindle, 83, of Derby, entered into eternal rest on August 1, 2013. He was the beloved husband of the late Shirley Buckley Kindle. Mr. Kindle was born in Derby on May 28, 1930, son of the late Andrew and Anna Harvath Kindle. He was employed as a painter for the International Brotherhood of Painter\u2019s Union Local 99 until his retirement in 1992. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, he honorably served during the Korean Conflict. Joe was a member of St. Sebastian Men\u2019s Club in Ansonia and the American Legion in Orange. He is survived by a son, Joseph F. Kindle (Wendy) of Shelton, a daughter, Sarah Kindle Estiler of Ansonia, a sister, Agnes Mallico of Milford, 4 granddaughters, Gerrica Baisley of Derby, Krystiana Estiler of Ansonia and Dawn and Kara Kindle of Shelton, a grandson, Michael Hempel and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Richard Baisley and brothers, Andrew and Thomas Kindle. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Tuesday August 6, 2013, at 10:00 am, at Christ Episcopal Church, 56 S. Cliff Street in Ansonia. U.S. Navy military honors will be accorded following the service. Burial will be private. Per Joe\u2019s request, there will be no calling hours.
