Thomas J. Puopolo, age 86 of Stratford, formerly of Shelton, passed away January 17, 2014 at Bridgeport Hospital. Thomas was born in Derby, April 22, 1927, son of the late Anthony and Catherine (Tomasi) Puopolo. Thomas served in the United States Army during WWII and worked as a tool and die maker for Sikorsky Aircraft, Stratford. He is survived by daughters, Kathy Kennedy (John), of Texas, and Lore Farmer of Georgia; brothers, Louis Puopolo of Florida and James Puopolo of Nevada; sister, Terry Agvent (Charles) of Stratford; 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Mark Puopolo; brothers, Joseph, Anthony and Michael Puopolo; and sister, Carmella Puopolo. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 AM in the JAMES T. TOOHEY & SON FUNERAL HOME, 92 HOWE AVE., SHELTON. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter\u2019s Cemetery, Derby. There will be no calling hours.
