William Davis Tucci, age 90, of Shelton, CT and Davenport, FL, entered into rest Monday, June 2, 2014 in Florida with his loving wife of 65 years Dorothy Mae Kovalick Tucci at his side. Born August 6, 1923 in Bridgeport, CT, William was the son of the late Santo and Josephine Garafalo Tucci. Mr. Tucci was a 1942 graduate of Harding High School, a U.S. World War II Army veteran of which he received the Purple Heart, a retiree from CL&P where he was employed for 32 years and a true lover of life. He enjoyed a long and active retirement residing in California, Florida and CT; loved to travel, listen to music, dining, sports and, of course, the company of his family and friends. He was predeceased by a daughter, Beverly Tucci, two grandsons, Daniel F. Potucek II and Michael R. McMahon, son-in-law Charles Hannock and seven brothers, three sisters, and many loving friends and relatives. William is survived by his wife Dorothy, daughters Pamela Tucci and Monica McMahon and her husband Mike, sons, William S. Tucci and his wife Kimberly and John Tucci and his wife Linda, his grandchildren, Stephanie Tucci, Meghan Vigeant and her husband Peter, Jaime Greco, Jonathan Tucci and his wife Amanda, Lindsay Tucci and William Tucci and his great grandchildren, Daniel F. Potucek III, Taylor Downs and Anita Vigeant. Funeral services will take place on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lawn Cemetery, Shelton. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael R.
