Richard E. Wales, 62, of Derby, peacefully entered into eternal rest on February 19, 2013, in the comfort of his home, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Debra Kane Wales. Rick was born in Bridgeport on June 27, 1950, son of Elizabeth Wilmer Wales of Shelton and the late Edward Wales. He was the proud owner and operator of Protect Your Premises for over 35 years until his retirement in December. Rick was an avid bowler, golfer, and enjoyed playing cards. He was a member of Highland Golf Club in Shelton and volunteered for The Kennedy Centers\u2019 special events in Trumbull (where his daughter Brooke attends) and as a swimming coach for the Special Olympics in Shelton. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two loving daughters, Corilyn E. Wales and Brooke E. Wales of Shelton, a sister, Dianne Salley of Fontana, CA, a stepson, Joshua Cocce, a stepdaughter, Alyssa Cocce, grandchildren, Madison Cocce and Mason Duley all of Ansonia, and several nieces, nephews, and friends. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2013, from 4-8 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI\/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Friday relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a funeral service with Requiem Eucharist at 10:00 am at Christ Episcopal Church, 56 S. Cliff Street in Ansonia. Burial will be private.
