Police: Shelton man arrested after school bus disturbance
SHELTON — A Shelton man is accused of causing a disturbance on a city school bus Wednesday, according to police.
Shelton police responded to Indian Wells Road for a report of a man — later identified as 74-year-old Donald Hutchinson, of Shelton — who had stopped a school bus with his person vehicle by stopping in front of it.
“Hutchinson then boarded the bus and engaged the female bus driver in an argument,” said Detective Richard Bango. “There were three small children on the bus at the time. Officers found that Hutchinson did this because he was upset over an argument that occurred between him and the bus driver the day before.”
Police arrested Hutchinson and charged him with disorderly conduct and three counts of risk of injury to a child. He was given a Thursday court date and released on a $2,5000 bond.
