This immersive ‘Stranger Things’ experience throws you into the Upside Down

Six years and three killer seasons after the "Stranger Things" debut, Netflix has dropped the trailer for Season Four. Described by the Duffer Brothers as their “Game of Thrones season,” season four will feature more sprawling storylines taking place in both Hawkins and in California with the Byers gang and – by the looks of the trailer – should be some pretty intense television. With the fifth and final season of the hit show already in development, now is a pretty solid time to catch up on the critically-acclaimed series before it’s over. Though, judging by the sheer amount of Stranger Things apparel out there something tells me this show may live beyond Netflix. Case in point: a new Stranger Things experience in San Francisco that puts you in the middle of the action. For newbies and massive fans of the 80s sci-fi joyride alike, enter Stranger Things: The Experience; an immersive interactive experience where the future of Hawkins and all its inhabitants rests squarely on the shoulders of you and children over the age of 13. Promising over an hour of exciting thrills, photo ops, engaging interactivity, and delicious "Stranger Things"-themed foods and drinks, Stranger Things: The Experience invites only the bravest guests to take a stroll into the Upside Down where they’ll encounter fan-favorite characters, unlock hidden secrets in the Hawkins Labs, and defeat the occasional monster with the help of family. This immersive experience is set to take place in a secret SFO location (to be revealed at a later date) with a minimum purchase of four tickets and a max of two adults per family. If you want to be treated like the mayor of Hawkins, go for the VIP experience which includes a free drink, complimentary "Stranger Things" gift, and front-of-the-line treatment. It is worth noting that guests are highly encouraged to wear 80s garb and close-toed shoes. Grab your tickets before they’re all gone! Stranger Things season 4 will be split up into two parts totaling nine episodes, starting with Volume 1 dropping on May 27 followed by Volume 2 on July first.
