The Shelton High boys volleyball team swept Joel Barlow, 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-20), in the season opener on Wednesday.
Erik Kocur led the way for coach LeAnne Bianchine's Gaels with nine kills and seven digs, while Grant Fevrier added 13 kills and four digs and T.J. Nicholas four kills and eight digs.
