Bricks & Barley won Shelton Parks and Recreation’s Men’s Open Basketball Championship with an 81-64 victory over Valley Roofing and Siding.

The win very much reflected the way Bricks & Barley rolled through the regular season, by far outscoring the rest of the league.

Every time Valley brought the game back within reach, an offensive rebound or turnover would propel Bricks into rebuilding its lead.

Heading into the fourth quarter, Valley trailed by 16 points — which was very similar to the semifinals in which they came back from that margin to defeat Fitzgerald Construction.

Mitch Amelio led Bricks & Barley in scoring with 25 points, while Christian Pierre and John Rullan added 16 points each.

Valley was led by John Ribas (18 points) and Matt Hackney (17) but in the end just could not stop all the scorers on Bricks.
