Cahill Law rolled to the B Division championship with a dominating 40-25 win over KFC in the Shelton Men’s Basketball League.

Joe Martino and Rich Kopec paced the champs with 13 and 12 points, respectively. Doug Pitcher had nine points to lead KFC.

The road to the championship game was not easy for Cahill, as it went to overtime with a determined Zamba Graphics squad.

In the overtime, Joe Thompson came up big to lead Cahill to a 55-49 victory. Martino was high scorer for Cahill with 19 and Thompson had 18. John Coniglio was best for Zamba with 10 points.

In the other semifinal, KFC cruised by Total Comfort, 36-21, behind 12 points from Mike Marshall and 11 from Pitcher. Mark Lauretti had nine for Total Comfort.

In the quarterfinals of the A Division playoffs, Pivovar pulled away from CDW, 74-55. John Ribas ripped the nets for 29 points for Pivovar.

Marcel Henneghan had 16 points for CDW. Fitzgerald Construction wore down Abell 78-54, as Jim Beckwith and Nick Corkery paced the winners with 20 and 19 points, respectively.

Jason Foster had 19 points and Brendan Abell 18 in a losing effort.
