The Shelton girls lacrosse team won its fifth straight game on Saturday upending Stratford by a convincing 15-2 margin.
The Gaelettes built a comfortable 11-0 halftime lead and coasted to victory improving to 5-2 on the season.
Gina Orazietti and Julia Kopchik led the attack scoring three goals each with Shelby Offord adding two goals to pace Shelton. Goal Keeper Amanda Bolduc kept Stratford off the scoreboard in the first half. Dakota McDonough fought off several shots on goal in the second half and surrendered two scores to account for the final margin.
Shelton is back in action on Wednesday hosting Mercy and on Thursday Foran comes in to try and knock off the Gaelettes. Shelton will have a rematch next Saturday at Penders Field in Stratford to take on the Red Devils.
