Girls lacrosse: Shelton defeats Stratford
The Shelton High girls lacrosse team maintained possession and put the ball into the back of the net on Saturday against Stratford High.
That approach saw them get out to a comfortable 9-3 halftime lead against Stratford on Saturday at Edward Finn Stadium.
The Gaelettes continued the onslaught in the second half, piling on nine more goals.
Nicole Roberts led the way with five goals scored. Rachel Drost added four goals, with Morgan Zayas contributing three goals.
Danielle Kreiter and Shelby Offord added two goals each, with Jill Ortoli concluding the scoring for the Gaelettes.
Amanda Bolduc made a couple of key saves in the net to keep Stratford from gaining any momentum on offense.
