Luchansky completes Buckeye swim career

Katy Luchansky, daughter of Jim and Peggy, recently concluded her Ohio State swimming career at the Big Ten Championships, held in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Luchansky competed in the 800 yard freestyle relay, as well as three individual events, the 100, 200 and 500 yard freestyle.

She scored in the relay and 200 and 500 yard events, achieving NCAA B cuts in the individual events. All of her times were career best times. In addition, Luchansky was named to the Academic All-Big Ten team for the third consecutive year.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student athletes must be letterwinners who are in at least their second academic year and carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Luchansky will be graduating in May.
