No. 9 Shelton defeats NFA in CT Football Alliance matchup

Shelton went on the road to defeat Norwich Free Academy, 49-18, in a CT Football Alliance game on Saturday night.

Shelton, ranked No 9 in the GameTimeCT Top 10 Poll, improved to 5-1. NFA is 3-3.

Michael Kinik was 7 for 10 passing for 116 yards, including a 48-yard touchdown pass to Ben Cicale.

Tyler Rich rushed for 86 yards and touchdowns for 5 and 15 yards.

Ayden Sepkaski had seven carries for 40 yards and a 15-yard touchdown. He brought a fumble back 86 yards for another score.

Shane Santiago returned a kick 92 yards for a score.

John De Camps recovered a fumble after a completed catch by Jeff Wojtowicz in the end zone for a touchdown.

Shelton totaled 257 yards of offense behind line play by Mike Camiglio, Tyler Radzion, Jeremy Oko, Matt Weiner and Jason Santos, as the Gaels moved the chains 15 times.

Santiago (36 yards) and Ricky Feola (16 yards) each caught two passes. De Camps (10 yards) and Wojtowicz (6 yards) had one reception apiece.

Cristiano Rosa converted seven conversion kicks and eight kickoffs landing in the end zone.

Santiago had two interceptions and forced a fumble. Jake Villalobos intercepted a pass.

Mike Lockavitch and Villalobos led with five tackles each. Sepkaski and Dave Dojlikko had four stops apiece.

Randy Mones, Wojtowicz and Santiago were in on three tackles each.

Feola defended five passes. Matt Weiner blocked a conversion kick. Ty Wood recovered a fumbled onside kick.

Charles DiLieto (four yards), Wojtowicz (five yards) and Lockavitch had quarterback sacks.Shelton will host 4-2 Newtown Friday at 7 p.m.
